Jessikah is a life-long dancer and has studied the art of Raks Sharki for over 20 years. She started teaching in 2016 and her classes are currently in San Dimas and West Covina, CA. Jessikah has performed in many troupes and as a soloist, at community events, private parties, and festivals, and dances American Cabaret, Egyptian and fusion styles. Jessikah leads her student troupe from her classes and is proud to be Team Leader for West Covina, CA. BACKGROUND AND INTERESTS
I have danced since I was 4, it was always my hobby, my first belly dance class was in 1997! I worked in TV Production since high school. After I had my kids, I started teaching belly dance and did video production part time. INTERESTING FACT ABOUT YOU?
I have two LA area Emmy Awards. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PART OF THE SHIMMY MOB COMMUNITY AND WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO JOIN?
I have been in Shimmy Mob since 2018, I think I became aware of it in 2017 (after registration was closed). What motivated me to join was the fact that many of my friends had been in abusive relationships and I wanted to do something to help change that. |
